Great post! I just tweeted it out to my followers, hope it gets you some traffic. The reason I found it was searching about online privacy topics. I’m working with a company who is making a TRULY private browsing method that also protects you from malware.

http://www.getCocoon.com is a Firefox plug-in that let’s you browse through a proxy hiding your information and encrypting your data so only you have the key. Also it filters websites and transcodes dangerous files into safe file formats stripping out any malware. It’s in beta now and is free, so check it out – we’d love any comments or feedback!

Thanks for this list. It is especially helpful for people like me who are users and not developers in regards to safety and security. Does the roboform site that you recommend offer an alarm system if someone else tries to use your info? (like send you an e-mail or such).
Glad I stumbled here.
